PRESS RELEASE: SUN COUNTRY AIRLINES® TO SERVE CAUSE COFFEE ON EVERY FLIGHT

SUN COUNTRY AIRLINES® TO SERVE CAUSE COFFEE ON EVERY FLIGHT

Minnesota Hometown Airline to serve MATTER Coffee on every flight, raising money to expand access to health locally and abroad.

MINNEAPOLIS – September 1, 2016 – Sun Country Airlines is now offering passengers a special new blend of coffee with a cause; the proceeds of which will go towards expanding health locally and globally.

Every Sun Country Airlines flight will now be fueled by MATTER Coffee, a coffee curated by a Minnesota global non-profit, MATTER, on a mission to expand health next door and around the world. The new MATTERblend roast features a unique flavor profile, accented with a palate of caramel, walnuts and red currants, giving the blend a big, full body.
The roast is produced by Edina, Minnesota-based Berry Coffee Company using premium, responsibly sourced beans from Panama and Rwanda, roasted specifically to create a distinctive flavor.

Zarir Erani, President and Chief Executive Officer at Sun Country Airlines, says, “Offering a superior in-flight experience is of paramount importance to us, and we know it’s the little things that make that experience special, like a great cup of coffee. Then, to know that great cup of coffee is also going towards helping people get access to much-needed health makes MATTER Coffee a wonderful addition to our in-flight menu.”

Fifty percent of the profits from the coffee bought by Sun Country Airlines are donated to further MATTER’s mission of expanding access to health to all, next door and around the world.

“We’re so excited to be taking MATTER Coffee to new heights and provide a great roast aboard the aircraft. But more importantly, the MATTERblend roast is giving every Sun Country passenger the opportunity to give back,” says Steve Brehm, President of Berry Coffee Company.

Quenton Marty, President of MATTER, says, “We’re building a movement of people who believe they have the power to solve the world’s greatest challenges right with their own two hands. That’s why we created MATTER Coffee. Simply, we believe we can do good and drink great coffee, and we’re sure Sun Country Airlines’ passengers will agree.”

MATTER Coffee will be served on all Sun Country Airlines flights starting Thursday, September 1.
